Phoenix
Arizona's Drought Challenge
Communities across Phoenix face one of the fastest-warming, driest urban climates in the country. As droughts intensify and water tables fall, access to sustainable water sources becomes increasingly fragile, especially in low-resource neighborhoods. Novelect partners with local schools, families, and city programs to build water resilience through education, innovation, and collective action. Together, residents transform their homes, gardens, and schools into living models of conservation and climate adaptation.

Our Approach
Novelect brings sustainable water systems directly into Phoenix neighborhoods through community-driven barrel installations. Each site begins with a home or school assessment to determine runoff potential, followed by volunteer-led setups of 55-gallon rain barrels adapted for desert use. Our teams teach residents how to connect gutters, filter debris, and repurpose collected rainwater for native plants. Every installation reduces waste and helps save gallons of water.
